Man arrested after Pitt County homicide investigation leads to vehicle chase

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – A Greenville teen faces numerous charges after a high-speed chase with deputies from the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office who were investigating a homicide on Friday. This happened around 3:00 p.m. Friday.
They say the car could be connected to Wednesday night’s fatal shooting of 20-year-old Marshayla Pasley.
The Sheriff’s Office says deputies attempted to stop the car on Independence Blvd. at North Memorial Drive in Greenville. They say the car sped-up, leading them on a high-speed pursuit.
