Authorities apprehend suspect who hit deputy car head-on

Anthony Jackson, 23, was involved in a car chase when he turned around into oncoming traffic on Highway 64. He then struck a deputy’s car head-on, severely injuring the deputy inside. Jackson fled on foot from the scene toward Romper.
Around 6 p.m. deputies received a call in reference to a stolen vehicle from the Roper area that was stolen by the same suspect from the earlier chase.
