DPS trooper shot in traffic stop turned pursuit in Frisco, suspect in custody

FRISCO, Texas — A Texas Department of Public Safety was shot during a traffic stop turned pursuit in north Texas earlier today.
After an extensive 15-hour search of an apartment complex where the shooting occurred, and subsequent standoff, the alleged shooter was taken into custody and transported to an area hospital for serious injuries.
At approximately 2:15 p.m., a DPS trooper attempted to stop a vehicle on the Dallas North Tollway near Spring Creek for a traffic violation when the vehicle fled.
