Wanted women accused of hitting deputy with car in Vancouver

VANCOUVER, Wash. – Two wanted women who are accused of striking a deputy in Vancouver before a high-speed chase into Portland made their first court appearance in the case on Wednesday.

Maryelena Clark and Angelia Mason are accused of jumping into a dark green Ford Taurus on the night of Monday, February 25 and hitting a deputy who was approaching the vehicle, telling them to stop.

According to court documents, the deputy drove up to the car after seeing the trunk and passenger door open, with two women loading things into the car. He parked and got out, telling the women to stop what they were doing.
